Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) visited "SYN Agro" LLC and the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Breeding.
According to information provided by veterinarian Zahid Tagizade in "SYN Agro" LLC, they complied with the rules for feeding, survey and application of methods of examination and treatment of dairy cattle with problems or diseases, where they took blood from cows for laboratory analysis. Students were also provided with information on artificial insemination in animals and on the operating principle of ultrasound apparatus for pregnant animals.
The students then familiarized themselves with the activities of several laboratories of the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Breeding under the direction of Director Mahir Hajiev, and learned about the technology of processing and production of livestock products from highly productive animals, with the processes of quality assessment of finished products in laboratory conditions modern physico-chemical express methods, as well as with the farm of the Institute where cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits and birds are kept.
