Russian delegation on a visit to ADAU paid tribute to the memory of city’s residents killed by Armenian terror in Ganja

A group of professors and students of St. Petersburg State University of Veterinary Medicine of Russia, on a visit to the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU), visited the site of the crime committed by Armenia as a result of rocket attacks on innocent civilians in Ganja, honoured the memory of the city's inhabitants.

It was reported that the Armed Forces of Armenia, the occupier during the 44-day Patriotic War, had violated the norms and principles of international law, the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their Additional Protocols, as well as the requirements of the humanitarian ceasefire regime, the agreed conclusions of the meeting in Moscow, on the basis of their persistent requests, deliberately targeted the civilian population of Azerbaijan and shelled populated areas with heavy artillery.

As a result of rocket attacks of the enemy on the second biggest city of Azerbaijan, Ganja city with a population of half million people, located more than 100 kilometers from the conflict zone, 26 civilians, including women and children were killed and 142 people were wounded. The city has suffered considerable damage to civil infrastructure and historical and cultural monuments, including vehicles.

The guests laid flowers around a residential building destroyed by Armenian terror as a sign of respect for the civilians who lost their lives.
